Hill And Bill Update

Wonder what our favorite former Democrat prez and his wife have been doing lately? Well, we know that Madame Secretary fell and fractured her elbow a few days ago. Reports are she is doing fine and that is good of course. She was supposedly in the basement of the State Department, headed to a meeting when the fall occurred. Does anyone know where Bill was at the time? Just wondering. Has Hilary said anything profound about N Korea or Iran lately? If she’s not careful, Obama is liable to think he can be his own Secretary of State. Already, she has found it necessary to cancel previously scheduled trips to Italy and Greece. Not to worry, Deputy Secretary of State James Steinberg  will handle Greece and Undersecretary of State William Burns will make it to Italy. See, it takes 2 to fill in for Hillary.

Meanwhile, what has Bill been up to? In Indianapolis, he launched a vigorous defense of Obama and the bailouts. Yes, he really did. He spoke at a civil rights themed baseball event. He called baseball a “mirror of society” and also  said that equal rights was still a dream. And, the Clinton Global Initiative will bring together a bunch of heavy hitters in politics and business to I don’t know, fix the world? No, Obama is doing that. But I know they will do something of which we can be proud.

been challenged by those who comment( and I thank each one of you ) to think, evaluate and search.

I will admit that having not written on  any regular basis since those distant college years, I had forgotten that writing is not easy. I feel a bit of responsibility to those who take the time to read my posts and try to do a credible job. Admittedly, I  succeed at times and fail at times but continue to plug away. I don’t know what expectations I had at the outset, but I believe those have been exceeded.

So, year #2 begins. I hope my efforts will become a bit more polished, a bit more informative and/or entertaining as time goes by. Please continue to visit, comment as you feel the urge and again thanks.
